I was actually looking into secure ID storage on my iPhone recently when I had this dropped into my lap, and from SplashData no less, so I knew it was just what I’d want in sensitive information storage and retrieval.
SplashID represents what is probably the best application for keep track of all sorts of sensitive data you don’t want prying eyes peeping: Your birth certificate, SIN card, driver’s license, credit cards, lock combinations, web logins and passwords, and pretty well everything else. It features templates for the most common types of things you’d want to store, but is also completely extensible allowing you to add your own types and categories. Even with…

Now that they’ve brought their existing catalog up to date on the iPhone, SplashData seems be set to expand their lineup now, and the first of these new additions is SplashTravel.
Yeah, we’ve seen all-in-one utilities before, usually in the form of calculators and converters. They’ve been good, of course, but this particular all-in-one app is aimed squarely at air travelers, and it seems to cover just about all of the possible bases you could want in a trip planner. Just have a look at this lovely and voluminous bullet point list:
- Automatic location detection with optional manual setting
- World time for two zones on the main page
- World map showing time zones and…

I know I said I’d review this over the weekend, but I ended up getting sidetracked by a number of things; it was a long weekend here in Canada, so there were some things I wanted to get done. Then yesterday I was all zombified. But it’s time I got to the review properly now. This here is the last of SplashData’s apps to be ported over to the iPhone, and for their final performance, they’ve got an image manager.
Primarily, SplashPhoto is a photo organizer and manager with sync capabilities between the desktop and the iPhone. It is intended to let you manage all of your device’s photos and keep them organized…

I’ve said before that I rather like SplashData’s apps, and I do, although I haven’t used a wide range of them. SplashNotes Outliner is one of those things that I hadn’t used before and really hadn’t even given much thought to, but now that I’ve had a chance to play with it, I rather like it.
SplashNotes Outliner is one of the last of SplashData’s apps to make the transition to the iPhone platform (the other I’ll be reviewing tomorrow), which makes their application library complete on the iPhone now. SplashNotes Outliner is essentially a list maker for whatever purposes you’d need a list maker for: Presentation sections, a list of talking…

SplashData have been one of the premiere mobile application developers in the PDA and smartphone market for years now, and they make quality stuff all around. I’ll admit though that I just haven’t had the opportunity to check out their iPhone offerings, so I was glad to have the excuse when SplashData’s PR firm offered this gem up for review.
File Magic is a file transfer utility for the iPhone and iPod Touch — and that sentence alone probably inspired at least one “…and?” in response. True, there are plenty of other wireless file transfer or so-called “drive mode” apps for the iPhone that let you tote around an assortment of files…

App Name: Converters
Developer: SplashData
Category: Utilities
Yes, I know. Another unit converter? Yup. Another unit converter. But this one at least tries to be useful and even a little bit original — and it’s from SplashData, long-time mobile developers whose apps have been all over the WinMo and Palm scene (among others) since the turn of the century, and who have also brought some of that over to the iPhone already.
Aside from the usual assortment of units, this one also features an up-to-date currency converter (data connection required), a tip calculator, and — of all things — a clothing size converter, so that if you plan on buying some garments while abroad you’re not stuck trying to figure out what foreign sizes are the equivalent to…
