Want to be a beta tester? Sure you do. Who wouldn’t? Beta testers get free stuff, and they get it long before anyone else does. All they need to do is offer bug reports if they find any problems, and suggestions as to how it could be improved or changed visually and operationally.

Hey, with a cover price of free, it’s not a bad deal for canucks who happen to like Maclean’s.

A news aggregator focusing on Canadian news sources, pulling the latest hourly feeds from a whole passel of news sources, including The Globe and Mail, CBC, The National Post, Dose, numerous provincial sources, and more. Unfortunately it only lets you suck feeds from 5 sources most, but at least you get to pick which sources.
It features icons along the bottom to filter what types of news you want to read: All, entertainment, tech, sports, and business. It isn’t an RSS reader though; rather than feed you the RSS feeds, News Canada embeds Webkit ot let you view the original page, which I suppose is nice, since you get the full page experience, images and all.

This app is for those who like Obama for prez — and I must be honest here, I think it’s pretty cool that the Obama campain had the wherewithal and technological acumen to come up with an iPhone app like this. With the Obama ‘08 app, you can get all the latest news from the campaign trail, info on local events, photo and video media coverage, see where Obama stands on a whole whack of issues, sign up for E-Mail updates, call friends to get them on board the democrat bandwagon (it’ll even keep track of people you called about it), and use the GPS to locate your nearest campaign office.
