‘Tis the Season

Rate it:If things have seemed a little slow around here, it’s because they have been, and mostly it’s been a variety of factors, not the least of which was the season — y’know, mad dashes around picking up gifts, things to put gifts in, things to wrap the things the gifts were put in, having gift plans dashed because the desired gift has run out and now I have to make alternate plans, and of course planning the actual Christmas festivities as well.
This past weekend in particular has been insane. Two nasty storm systems met over southern Ontario for tea and havoc, dumping entirely more snow than I think we truly deserved for this time of year, following it up with some truly evil winds that created 3+ foot drifts that would have looked pretty if I wasn’t forced to deal with them personally. This rippled out to my day job, where yesterday we got busy to a quantifiably record degree. I’m still not even sure how I managed to post the one daytime article that I did — it took me hours writing in fits and starts between actual chunks of work just to get it done and posted.
I don’t know what today will bring but I am hoping that it will leave me enough time to play a little bit of catch up. I already have the screenies for half a dozen reviews uploaded (have for a couple of days), I just have to write the damn reviews. If I’m lucky maybe I can get to some of those today.
But thanks to you folks for having some patience. ‘Tis the seasons and all, and its been hard to focus on half a dozen things at once, but I’ll manage, and the downtime over the holidays, plus going into the new year should bring some improvements — and hopefully, if we’re really lucky, that something extra special we’ve been working on this past few months.
Meantime, let’s see what I can’t get done around here…
