Flux Capacitor App Name: Flux Capacitor
Developer: TMSoft Version: 1.0.0
Publisher: TMSoft Size: 4.0 MB
Category: Entertainment

So it would appear that TMSoft was hanging a clock, fell, hit his head, and game up with Flux Capacitor.  Please don’t tell me you don’t know what that is, either. I’m not that old.  Michael J. Fox?  Professor Emmett Brown?  1.21 gigawatts?  Ringing any bells?

Anyway.  It would appear that TMSoft have rejiggered this thing to virtually travel back in time randomly to certain pre-programmed dates and pop-up top tech news stories from whatever date it happens to land on.  It’s interactive to a degree.  Shake the device to charge the capacitor, touch your finger to drain it.  A computerized voice will give you prompts and the like.  When travelling back in time though, it’s not always entirely reliable, and if overcharged has a tendancy to explode.  You can avoid overcharge by touching the screen to drain some of the power.

It’s rather nicely done — good graphics and sound — and entertaining for a while, though I do wish he could have gotten Christopher Lloyd to do the voices…

As far as I can tell this is a freebie, but TMSoft’s apps are currently all free for the holidays — you’ll recall they did White Noise, which I’ve quite enjoyed, among a couple of other, lesser apps, so I guess it’s Merry Christmas from them.
