Okay, so, QuickGraph is just to shiny and fancy for the likes of you, or perhaps it doesn’t have the functions you’re looking for. You want something more basic with maybe some more useful features. What about TouchPlot? It is graphically about as simple as a function plotter can get, but it does have some extra features not found elsewhere, such as an adaptive algorhythm for enhanced accuracy, normal and logarithmic axis, and live slider adjustments for parameters, as well as input using direct polish notation. It features some extensive documentation to get you up to speed on using polish notation and entering functions and such. Formulas appear on its entry screen in the same mathematical notation you’d use on paper, which is kind of nifty.
It’s decent I suppose. Math and I, we don’t talk much, so what do I know? If this is something you could use, try it and see if it fits your needs. It’s fairly feature-limited for the lite version, so if you want all that it has to offer, you’ll have to drop a fiver for the full version.
