Welcome to Frapstr’s New Home!

Now that Frapstr has put all of its blitzed partying days behind it and become a man, we at Touch Podium felt it was time to let it spread its wings and leave the nest. To that end, we’ve bought it a shiny new home in which it can blossom and grow into a fine, upstanding responsible adult.
Oh, who am I kidding? It’s going to use this place as a party pad, trashing the furniture, staining the carpet, and letting cases of beer stack precariously up to the ceiling until they become a serious health hazard and must be returned for a refund — and more beer.
Just the same, it is now out on its own, and that will give me the chance to take the original idea started way back at the dawn of the App Store and expand on it, enriching the content, adding new features, and allowing apps to be searched and navigated with much greater ease. And look! We’ve even got a snazzy new logo to hang over the mantle!
Of course, all of the same great content will be here, but each app will get its own article, and will be properly categorized to make for easier searching of apps and browsing of particular genres, features and columns. And speaking of features and columns, I plan to expand the whole App Store millieu by occasionally featuring things like developer profiles, paid app spotlights, important app updates, sneak peeks, perhaps an interview or two here and there, plus some relevant crossover content to and from Touch Podium such as iTunes and firmware updates, app rumours, and stuff like that there.
One of the other benefits of giving Frapstr its own site is more frequent updates, since I don’t have to wait to compile a bunch of apps into a weekly compendium of the best, the worst, and the indifferent. Now I can post them as they turn up, so you’ll have a lot more to read a lot more often.
I’ve taken the liberty of posting the content from my last Free App Store Review article on Touch Podium, just to give this place some content to start with — an unfurnished home is so empty — so if you come across stuff you’ve seen before, this will be why. For more archives of classic Free App Store Reviews, check out the Frapstr Classic link on the sidebar to your right.
So stick around. I plan to have some fun here now that I can stretch my legs and let it all hang out (within the bounds of modesty, anyway), so enjoy your stay. I maintain an open door policy, and I welcome any suggestions or comments about me, the site, or apps in particular. Yeah, I can be a jerk when I’m reviewing some of the, shall we say, less inspiring apps on the App Store, but I like to think that on the whole, I’m a pretty nice guy, so don’t be afraid to drop me a line. I promise I won’t tear you limb from limb. Much.

Keep up the great work guys! I’ve been impressed with the reviews you have been posting and also staying up-to-date with the freebies in the app store. No thanks to apple for removing the all free app link in itunes. I had been checking that link daily but since they removed it, I’ve stopped checking. I totally feel your pain having to go thru each category to find new stuff. So I will be eagerly awaiting for your new site to go live!
Thank you — I’m glad you like it! I find it a bit ironic that just as we were setting this site up and getting it ready to go live, Apple removes the link to the free apps, both making my job harder and making a site like this more useful than ever. It’s a double-edged sword, I guess, but I suppose it just means I’ll have to work harder to bring the goodies.
By the way, technically, we are live. We’re just waiting for the domain.
Apparently we’re NOT waiting for the domain, eh Eric? lol.
Thanks to someone named Jack, whom we don’t know who they are.
Hopefully we get an explanation soon. heh.
